If you're not in China, and don't read Chinese, it can sometimes be confusing, difficult or even impossible to view content on some Chinese platforms.
#Weibo is fairly straightforward: it's either fine, or it's blocked in your country. In the latter case, you could try a VPN.
#Douyin may also be blocked in your country (in which case, in VPN is your friend). Even if it's not blocked, if you're not logged in, you may need to slide a puzzle piece across to see each video.
TikTok "a dagger pointed at the heart of the United States" by China, which feeds its own kids worthy stuff on its Chinese network Douyin https://nypost.com/2023/02/25/china-is-hurting-us-kids-with-tiktok-but-protecting-its-own/

This came up on my feed when searching mdzs. Aini talks about how China has problems with soft power, and I found myself nodding along. I have been watching Chinese dramas for over a year now, and getting whiplash everytime China changes their idea of what is okay. You can hardly start a fandom when next week, your favorite show might be off the air when the actor gets cancelled.
Always best to hear it from a native though.
