A few others stand out, though, like throwing rice at Dracula's wedding (#DraculaDossier for #NightsBlackAgents), then swooping in—and dismally failing—to stake him as he stooped to count the grains, or reliving my character's bizarre teenage sexual encounters with things from beyond the Veil as part of #TheBetween's mask mechanic.

@hexcrawl I played the #DraculaDossier #NBA at a LongCon before COVID, and it was one of the most satisfying games that I’ve every played. Of course, it was a shortened campaign (as we did it over two days) but worked very well. I suspect that the player group helped; everyone had played or run GUMSHOE before, and was a fan of spy and horror fiction. I’ve played multiple Estoterrorist campaigns and we’re currently playing Eternal Lies; GUMSHOE can really sing if you know what you’re doing!

This was my chance to freelance under the watchful gaze of Ken Hite and Gareth Ryder-Hanrahan. I wrote the locations for Italy, plus an NPC and an organization.

I love the watercolour place illustrations and enjoyed the process of research and revision.

Meet M4CB3TH, a hyper-talented hacker who discovered the #DraculaDossier. Created in 2020, my player wanted M4CB3TH to be a sleeper agent, programmed by a secret agency. M4CB3TH used to think he was chased by an operative called The Hound, until he discovered he is The Hound. With that reveal, and betrayal, the gaming group imploded. 18. The most memorable villain I’ve confronted in a #TTRPG is Dracula, in #DraculaDossier for #NightsBlackAgents. He’d manipulated us into breaking out one of his brides from an oil rig-turned-black site, forcing one of us to solemnise his marriage. Reaching into my pack, I tore open a field ration to scatter rice over the happy couple; being vampires, natch, they were transfixed counting grains… whereupon I totally flubbed my planned coup de gras. 🤦🏻‍♂️ #gtkm
