I hiked around Jersey Valley County Park in #Vernon County, #Wisconsin . The valley was dammed in 1969, creating the lake. The earthen dam was breached in a 2018 flood after 10” of rain storm in the area. The roads were mostly clear of ice and the temperatures got into the mid-30°’s so I went for a 25-mile ride today. It was a nice ride, but a strong SSE wind did make it a bit chilly. #driftless #winter #bike #ice

We raise chickens, ducks and geese, have a large garden and small orchard. We have had successful first years of producing maple syrup and apple cider. Slowly restoring our 100+ year old farmhouse while also working in tech and local government and raising a couple of kids.
