I find this headline irritating because it makes it seem like #foundation (1940-ish) got its inspiration for Spacers from #dune (1965) when its the other way round. The tv series definitely got the Opalesk micronutrient idea from Dune’s Spice though:

Today's challenge: making a collapsible, airport-safe, entirely non-functional version of the Fremen thumper so Torrey (as featured in the video) can take the costume places. I'm thinking two sections of plastic pipe, with a coupler hidden behind the flame shroud, and some 3D printed bits glued on.

Curse words!! #Dune Part II is delayed to March 2024. Because studios are run by stupid and greedy bastards.
Also the studio is saying that actors and writers actually are more valuable.

Multiple WarnerBrothers films delayed:

"Dune: Part 2" is delayed from November 3, 2023 to March 15, 2024. "Godzilla vs Kong: New Empire" is delayed from March 15, 2024 to April 12, 2024. "War Of The Rohirrim" is delayed from April 12, 2024 to December 13, 2024.

All these come as Warner Brothers is rethinking their upcoming releases amid the ongoing strikes and other issues.

Un incubo, non saprei come altro definirlo.

I drove my #bicycle today morning. It was really foggy out there, but warm fog. When I arrived at my job, I was kinda soaked.

The image shows my lower arm and tiny water drops I gathered during my ride. The drops stick to the hair on my arm and I kinda feel lik a #desert #animal now 😅 Maybe the small Muad Dib mouse from #DUNE 🤔

A newly discovered #fossil #worm was named after #Dune's sandworms.

All this being said, #IanMcNeice is still my favorite Baron Vladimir Harkonnen. His performance is so thespian and he just eats up the scenery in both Sci Fi Channel series.

As we prepare for the arrival of #DunePartTwo, I'd like to say a few words about the several #liveaction #adaptations

First, I just don't get the love for #Dune1984. It's so damn weird.

Before #DunePartOne, my favorite adaptations were the two #SciFiChannel #TV #movie series, #FrankHerbert's #Dune and #ChildrenofDune. CoD is my favorite between the two, tbh, and has a moving #soundtrack despite terrible #CGI.

Of course, #Dune 2021 blew me outta the water and I'm excited to see Part 2.
