1/ Chevre, this week’s parsha is כִּי†תָבוֹא (Ki Tavo). There is a pasuk (a sentance) in this week’s parsha that reads, “And HaShem has distinguished you today to be for Him a treasured people, as he spoke to you, and to observe all His commandments.” #DvarTorah #Shabbat

1/ Chevre, this week’s parsha is כִּי תֵצֵא (Ki Tetze). This week’s parsha starts with capturing a woman during war. If someone wants to marry her, he must first shave her head, allow her to mourn her family for a month. #Shabbat #DvarTorah

1/ Chevre, this week’s parsha is שֹׁפְטִים (Shoftim). There are a lot of interesting nuggets in this week’s parsha. Some of them, this year, could be seen as more politically charged from years past. #Shabbat #DvarTorah

1/ Chevre, this week’s parsha is רְאֵה (Re’eh). We start with blessings curses. If you follow the commandments and are well architected, you’ll be able to stay in the land and in the cloud. #Shabbat #DvarTorah

1/ Chevre, this week’s parsha is עֵקֶב (Eikev). There is an interesting section this week about becoming complacent. The Torah talks about becoming satisfied and forgetting HaShem. #Shabbat #DvarTorah

1\ Chevre, this week’s parsha is וָאֶתְחַנַן (VaEtchanan). We are continuing the final speach from Moshe. This week we have the reiteration of the 10 commandments and part of the Shema prayer that Jews say twice daily (at least). #Shabbat #DvarTorah

1/ Chevre, this week’s parsha isדְּבָרִים (Devarim). This week starts the closing speach by Moshe as they stand ready to enter Eretz Yisrael. This parsha is always read on Shabbat Chazon, the Shabbat before Tisha B’Av. #Shabbat #DvarTorah

1/ Chevre, this week’s parsha is מַטּוֹת-מַסְעֵי (Matot-Masei). This week we are finishing Sefer BaMidbar (the book of Numbers). As we wrap up this book, we are also wrapping up the journey of Am Yisrael. #Shabbat #DvarTorah

Chevre, this week’s parsha is פִּינְחָס (Pinchas). At the end of last week, we saw that Pinchas took a spear and killed a Jew and a Midianite woman he was having relations with in a tent. THE Tent was the tent of meeting or the Mishkan. #Shabbat #DvarTorah

1/ Chevre, this week’s parsha is בָּלָּק (Balak). This week we get the conference view of the Jewish People. At a conference, you hear about everything working and going well. How much time and/or money was saved. #Shabbat #DvarTorah

1/ Chevre, this week’s parsha is חֻקַּת (Chukat). There is an idea that HaShem always gives you the solution before the problem, but you may not be aware of it or understand it. #Shabbat #DvarTorah

1\ Chevre, this week’s parsha (in Israel) is קֹרַח (Korach). There were 2 rebellions that coincided. There was the rebellion by Korach and the one by Datan and Aviram. #Shabbat #DvarTorah

1\ Chevre, this week’s parsha, in Israel, is שְׁלַח לְךָ (Shelach Lecha). This week’s parsha, my Bar Mitzvah parsha, starts with Moshe sending scouts (often called spies) out to the Land of Israel. #Shabbat #DvarTorah

1/ Chevre, this week’s parsha (in Israel) is בְּהַעֲלֹתְךָ (Behalotcha). First off, it was great to see everyone at the TLV Summit this week. Thank you for those that came up and said “hi”. #DvarTorah #Shabbat

Chevre, this week’s parsha is בְּמִדְבַּר (Bamidbar) and today is Yom Yerushalayim. So today is the day in 1967 that Jerusalem was reunified after 19 years of being split. We have a more holiday like atmosphere including Hallel and special meals. #Shabbat #DvarTorah

Chevre, this week’s parsha is אֱמֹר (Emor). Today, Friday, is also Pesach Sheni or the day that the Bnei Yisrael requested because they could not bring the Pesach offering during it’s time because they were tame or ritually impure. #DvarTorah #Shabbat

1/ Chevre, this week’s parsha is אַחֲרֵי מוֹת - קְדֹשִׁים (Achrei Mot - Kedoshum). This week’s parsha starts with the mentioning of the death of the sons of Aharon. And then launches into the Yom Kippur service. #Shabbat #DvarTorah

1\ Chevre, this week’s parsha is תַּזְרִיעַּ - מְצֹרָע (Tazria - Metzora) and it’s Rosh Chodesh (Friday and Shabbat). Most of our double portion is talking about Tzarat, which doesn’t have a good translation into English, but is usually translated as leprosy. #DvarTorah #Shabbat
