I have this thing called #Dystonia (see my pinned toot) which affects my legs and my ability to walk properly. So most think I am drunk 24/7 - which I am not, it's 23/7.

Well yes, I agree. I submitted 27 letters about my condition #Dystonia and got what I think I am entitled to.

There seems to be no rhyme or reason here.

#Disability is ignored in much the same way as death. When you go out in public, most people seem fine. This is both because disability can be invisible and because you are only seeing a sliver of the real world. Adults and children with disabilities can often be stuck at home, or in care homes, or in hospitals. Public places can be playgrounds for the able-bodied, and they paint a very inaccurate picture of reality.

@DarryB I used to sleep well 8 hours or so solid - but now I find I wake in the middle of the night and am quite lucid. I have been diagnosed with #Dystonia (see my pinned introduction) but am not certain this wakefulness is a symptom of that ?

Above all though, I wish you well with your personal struggle.

#Introduction

Hello squirrels,

I am almost as famous as that other Geri, but unlike her, I have a neuro-degenerative disease called #Dystonia. I fall over quite a bit and spend much of my time trying to find soft things to land upon. I am also a big-bottomed, anarchist, green type and a connoisseur of fine wine although will quaff any old rubbish.

#Parkinsons cascade:
Thurs: no exercise due to multiple dr appts
Thurs night: up from 2-3 am because of no exercise
Fri: no exercise because of mental fatigue, rain, 28°
Fri night: up from 12-4 am because of no exercise (lots of #dystonia)
Sat: up two hours late because of exhaustion, tremors & dystonia (late meds). Tried to exercise.
Sat night: exhausted, bed early, up from 11-3
Sunday: TBD, I hope I can exercise
When you get #OutOfSync with your program, it’s hell on wheels getting back.
