Another #EJC is over, and the best one I've ever experienced out of the nine I've been to.

The value and power of being surrounded by people that respect mutual aid and free sharing and dedicating everything to their passion is unmatched by anything else I see in my daily life.

Jugglers have something to teach to the world, and it's not just tossing stuff around.

Over the years I have seen many shows at #EJC's
Never before I have seen a show that made me cry but also made me gasp at the skill.

There are lifts to the platforms, but I had to use steps to get out of the underpass.

With a week to go before the European #Juggling Convention in #Lublin (it was supposed to be in Ireland, but no insurance company would cover us), my side project playing with #QuartoPub to have a searchable point of answering #InfoPoint questions is taking shape.
I have to include more answers (easier to obtain on arrival), but I can push updates from my phone!

Hello Jugglers and Circus Family!
We have an update for #EJC2023. After many difficulties securing a site for the Convention, we are delighted to say we are now in final negotiations with a venue. We are working on this process at full speed, and hope to have a final decision and contract by the end of March.
The final decision on the site will be made very soon. The team are fully dedicated and strong and are fully confident of hosting the #EJC this summer. Our dates remain 29 July - 6 Aug 2023

Todays video by the IJA "Juggling News January 2023" mentions that we have lost our previous venue but also uses a "Cancelled" graphic.
The #EJC2023 Team would like to clarify that as things stand this years #EJC is not cancelled, we are in the final stages working with our new venue and getting all the paper work sorted before we make any more official announcements, but we will have more information to share very soon.

The biggest Fight Night of the year may usually be at the #EJC but the end of year European Championships #FightNight juggling finals are always interesting.

If we have enough interest we may put together some trips (with transport) to these locations during the #EJC - ideal for those wanting a little break from juggling (or any other training) during the convention.

Suggestions on interesting excursions near #Gormanston (#Boyne Valley, North County Dublin etc) are welcome, especially ones that may not be on the obvious tourist trail.

Even better if they are already accessible by bicycle (or unicycle) or public transport.

The motto of the EJC for many years has been #ForJugglersByJugglers - however our community stretches far beyond just jugglers.

The event relies on volunteers. This helps keep costs down keeping the event as accessible to as many as possible. This is also why camping is included within the week ticket price.

#Volunteering is not just to keep costs down, it also builds a #community across borders.

You can give just an hour of your time (or far more) to help the #EJC happen.

Yes, we are asking the site about cycle locking options for 1, 2 and possibly more wheeled cycles.

For those unicycle hockey folks, we have already asked about access to hockey nets that we spotted on a site visit.

Chats with a site and our special requests are often a bit odd if you have never been to a European Juggling Convention!

On our discord - see link on our profile - we have already had some people discussing travel plans to get to #Gormanston

If flying into Dublin Airport, Bus Éireann bus 101 will bring you almost directly to the site entrance (Gormanston Cross is the stop).

If arriving into Ireland by ferry and then trying to arrive by public transport it is trickier as it will depend on time of arrival.

We know that many people attending the #EJC also enjoy music and that there's a tradition of music jams happening at the EJC every year.
