A1. Checking in from Ann Arbor MI, grid #EN82
The only working homebrew equipment I have is a roll-up 2 meter J-pole antenna that Dan @kb6nu helped me build at a workshop. I also have parts for a 2 meter tape measure Yagi, but that kit didn't get built yet.
I'd like to build a better 1090 MHz antenna for better #ADSB reception, that's probably the next thing on the antenna list.
nice #garden hack to tag with your grow zone. looks like I'm in #zone6a as well.
I've done similar with #hamradio tweets to tag my "grid square", which is #EN82 or #EN82dg . More geographical, less climatological, but basically the same idea.
I wonder how much grow zones will mutate due to climate changes, and practically also due to technical innovations like hoop houses and cold frames.

ARROW (Washtenaw County Michigan / #AnnArbor area, #EN82 ) annual meeting tonight at the Saline library. Election of officers, plans for next year's meetings, white elephant gift exchange. Thanks to Steve #N8LBV the outgoing technical coordinator, and congratulations to Jay #WB8TKL the incoming technical coordinator.
It was a hybrid meeting (in person and Zoom), and I have a suspicion that the Zoom participants got a less than awesome meeting out of it. It was good to see people in person.

The ARROW crew operates mobile and portable a local park once a month as the #AMPteam . Outdoor temps in Saline MI are about 26F / -3C, so after gathering in the park the crew retreated back to their warm vehicles.
The note from the park is that if your HT is desensed from nearby transmitters and can't hear the repeater, switch to the reverse (input frequency) and pick up local transmissions directly.

Monday night on 2m, net on 146.96- out of the ARROW repeater in Ann Arbor EN82. We regularly get check-ins from Washtenaw, Wayne, Oakland, Livingston, and Monroe County. There is no digital in on this repeater, and no scanner relay to Broadcastify that I'm aware of. (A DX challenge, I guess.)
Net starts at 800p Eastern and might typically run an hour or so.
There's also a MichiganONE DMR net on Brandmeister TG 3126 (Michigan) at 830p Eastern.
