The {statcheck} #rstats 📦 is “a ‘spellchecker’ for statistics. It checks whether your p-values match their accompanying test statistic and degrees of freedom.”

statcheck searches text for null-hypothesis significance tests in APA style (e.g., t(28) = 2.2, p < .05), recalculates each p-value, and flags errors if reported and computed values don’t match.

My abstract has been accepted by #ESMARConf2023 Team! 🤩 It will be a short talk about my first #MetaAnalysis in which we explored in detail the prevalence, severity, and implications of gastrointestinal symptoms in #ChronicKidneyDisease (https://doi.org/10.3390/jcm11216363). I will show how to perform a meta-analysis of prevalence in practice and underline that wise and broad citation chasing is a crucial step to collect all available data.
