@NuzhatUthmani So interesting thinking about the long term affects this has on a child. I’m trying to have these conversations more openly with parents in a way that doesn’t make deferring sound like a child is failing at 3 years old. Education could be a completely different place for a just 4 year old and a just 5 year old. #EYFS

Any Early Years people or indeed parents have any positive examples of children having a deferred start to school because they were Summer born? I still feel like this is a taboo area. Why is this not yet commonplace in our education system? Many parents I speak to don’t even know this is an option for their child. It wouldn’t suit all but could help so many.
