So at my #ttrpg fundraiser this week I ran #EZd6 with a bunch of people who’d never played ANY game before. I had people absconding out of windows, using their randomly generated equipment in odd ways, and doing GONZO things with their magical abilities (I wouldn’t have though to turn magic tendrils into a mirror in a million years). It was SO MUCH FUN!

Last night at my #EZd6 table my Monday group went to a local coffee shop, where their skald friend took part in a poetry slam and wowed the crowd with his limericks. #ttrpg

So I’m running the #EZd6 one shot I’d created for a fundraiser with my Monday table. My one shots tend to be goofy, and based on hallmark movie tropes.

The plot’s simple, someone comes home down on their luck after their business venture collapsed. Only to find that the same evil corporation that crashed their business is trying to do the same to the town.

So tonight my party spent 45 minutes talking about zoning laws and pondering an agrarian revolution. #ttrpg

At present I’m running a weekly #BasicFantasyRPG campaign (online), and a monthly #CastlesAndCrusades (in person). My weekly online #DnD5e campaign recently ended so we’re playing an #EZd6 one shot I wrote right now.

In the coming year I REALLY want to try out #LowFantasyGaming.

#ttrpg folks, what are you running, or hoping to run?

One thing I appreciate about #EZd6 is how it’s role play centric because so much is off the sheet, but still has a significant amount of rolling for things. It’s great balance and insane to play. My Monday table is playing through a one shot I developed and it’s been a blast.#TTRPG

So in my #EZd6 one shot I had a place where the kobolds grow “Kerplanch” an alcoholic beverage grown from mushrooms. Milld for them, but psychedelic for other humanoids. One character took a mushroom and, in the last fight, shot it down the dragon’s mouth. It would take effect if he rolled a 6. He did.

The Dragon was seeing rainbows, and light sources were talking to her. Also, she was paranoid light sources were spying on her.

Sadly, she was put down before her next go. #ttrpg

The crit rule in #EZd6 is one of the most fun things I’ve ever seen in action. The table was CHEERING.

OK, ran #EZd6 for my fundraiser today. It’s AMAZING.
