A good reminder: Disaster preparedness is certainly important, but post-disaster recovery planning, including waste management, is also important (but often overlooked).

This Temblor article indicates that among U.S. states, WA is better prepared to deal with post-disaster waste management.

I make lists(=) too. Points to columns on for =local etc etc. I have been getting & still have email notifications for 20 some years from the for all earthquakes in the world over 5.0 and more local over 3.5. I see the earthquakes, but *scans earthquake column* ... I have yet to see anyone say "omg I just felt an earthquake. Anyone else feel that??" +vids like the social media platform that's been destroyed and it bums me out. Bad.

Another question the kids may ask.

Why earthquakes happen all the time in Britain but not in Ireland

theconversation.com/why-earthq

I lived in the UK until I was in my 20s and never felt an earthquake. However in New Zealand I have lost count.
