I live on some wooded acres behind a locked driveway gate. Tired of people and their #viruses. So when I let in some contractors to do some work outside, guess what I had stuck to my face regardless of what they might have thought? Yes, an #elastomeric #N95 w a pair of dry-eye Rx glasses to keep their #aerosol out of my eyes & not just my nose. Our interaction (outside) was just for a few minutes.

Extreme? Well, one of them turned out to have a nasty cough. I like not worrying about that.

Day #2 after doing self-checkout wearing my #elastomeric #N95 and dry-eye Rx glasses while the only cashier at the grocery store was having a coughing fit 20 feet away. The only symptom is the slight sore throat that I’d started noticing that afternoon—when it was far too early for it to be from #Covid, and I hadn’t been off the property for a week before then.

Now peak time for symptoms to be emerging. I’m anxious, yes, but reminding myself that I had excellent protection.

…do all those people really have no idea that they have essentially zero protection against infection, no matter how many boosters they’ve gotten? Or that the #vaccines only reduce their odds of #LongCovid by about half? Does that make the remaining half somehow acceptable to them?

A few days of doing the thousand-yard stare past all those naked snouts looking at my #Envomask #elastomeric #N95 was more than enough. Masked for every bathroom visit, the store, getting takeout, even trails.

Sorry, but I have to add that it feels great to be nearly old enough for the senior discount and still be able to keep track of 30 thousand fucking lines of #code.

If I got #Covid that might no longer be the case, and that would suck.

I would like people with #LongCovid to know that at least this one random person has changed his lifestyle because of their testimony. I mostly stay on my rural property (thankful for it!) and wear an #envomask #elastomeric #N95 anytime indoors when I'm not here.

I would like to make a T-shirt to wear with my #Envomask #N95 #elastomeric #respirator that says the following:

My #pandemic #PPE kit for first eye exam in 4 yrs:

1. #Envomask #N95 #elastomeric. Fit tested 100% seal, even w my close-trimmed beard.

2. #Enovid anti-viral nasal spray, used before & after.

3. Sealed goggles when not getting actual exam.

3. Bausch & Lomb eye wash, to flush out eyes immediately after.

4. Hand sanitizer & mouthwash, because why not.

Also: N95 masks to bring for staff who graciously agreed to wear them for me.

“Everyone’s had #Covid by now.” No, I haven’t. This is why.

Turned down a chance to visit with someone I grew up with but haven’t seen for years. I could have done it wearing my #elastomeric mask but have no desire to sit there like a freak in the room, while still worrying about it getting into my eyes.

Does this look like the end of a #pandemic to you? With TWO THIRDS as much #virus circulating in my area as the average for the last nine months? With my #vaccine protection nearly gone? With #LongCovid a clear and present danger, vaxxed or not?

#CovidCautious folks who wear painted #elastomeric masks, I need advice. Did you use a primer or adhesion promoter on your mask? And if so, what did you use?

I want to use Angelus paints, and they recommend Bulldog adhesion promoter, but the smell is so strong and so awful I'm not sure how safe it is to put on something that's going to be on my face.

Anyone have ideas about what to use instead?

Where are #Australians getting their #masks #P2 #N95 #KN95 from? I keep getting recommendations that aren’t available here. #Aura masks seem to fit great but always out of stock or not on sale to the general public. Amazon is full of fakes, yes or no? Keep getting conflicting reports. Are reusables like #CambridgeMask or #VogMask any good. Is it time for something #Elastomeric like #CastleGrade ?

#Elastomeric #mask wearers -- what's your mask of choice? Trying to decide between the Dentec 400 NX and the MSA Advantage 900. The MSA is much more audible, but I'm concerned the breathability will be a problem.
