I'm revisiting Norwegian trio System's second album rather loud and it's a good time. The opening is a bit icy and moody, but turns out that's a nice juxtaposition with some warmer dub bass and synth melodies. Track 3 is like a Gameboy in an underwater club!

Their debut was on Pole's label and their most recent release is a collaboration with Nils Frahm. One of them (Opiate) wrote multiple tracks on Björk's Vespertine.

Synth nerds might be into this, but I do also love the fact the engineer super-clearly demos what's going on with flip books!

The "acoustic synthesis" approach makes me think of Nicolas Bernier's work with electronically exciting tuning forks.

Listening to Patten's new album where he has prompted and then chopped up Riffusion output ... and reading an interesting, reasonable interview... his comments on how we come to celebrate the sounds of audio failure later (distortion, tape and vinyl fx, etc.) are spot on...

I've decided to divest from Eurorack, for a number of reasons.

This means that my modular gear is for sale. I'd love to find a buyer to take it all as a set, but am also willing to part it out.

The larger one is in a walnut case built by Matthew Goike. 150hp x 5 rows, with 5 Intellijel power supplies. The case is also for sale.

The smaller one is a Waldorf kb37. The kb37 chassis is also for sale.

(I also have other gear for sale, including an OB-6, a Moog One 16-voice, and a few Focusrite Red audio interfaces, which I will be posting on Reverb in the next few days, but will also entertain direct inquiries.)
