@mousebot This can be very handy for me in a different way: one thing I haven't managed to get to work with #mastodonEL is multiple accounts. fedi.el should make it possible.

On the other hand, keeping it open is also good. I like the way some #Emacs extensions leverage existing functionality (say, the #elpher gopher/gemini client uses the built-in bookmarking feature, rich text and html would use eww, etc.) In fact, I was following quite a few subreddits via RSS in elfeed only (I suppose that functionality will be sunsetted now).

So, yeah, great.

Thanks for sharing about #shinobi, I wasn't aware of this. If you are thinking about site navigation, some #gopher clients, like #elpher has URL detection, and even URL in plain-text is highlited and accesible by browser key bindings.
I've never tried, but it's Elpher branch with HTTP support, so maybe it will fit your shinobi site.

I've been looking at #emacs for years, without success. And several days ago I went into it. You don't need any special distro. I'm using vanilla version. You need some purpose, and with it you climb up. If you are interested in small-net try #elpher. It was my crowbar for armored door of Emacs's world. ;-)

Je n'arrive pas à le faire marcher. Il déclenche des 59 (bad request) sur mon serveur), des "wrong type argument: stringp, nil" avec la plupart des 'autres serveurs.

L'auteur ne répond pas, et je ne vois pas de système de gestion d ebogues.

Getting convinced to start exploring #Gemini as an alternative to the hijacked, #adtech dominated web ... first order of business, patching #Elpher to fix the issue that it doesn't create its own config directory before using it to store certificates.
