Tutti gli altri pezzi sono puro prog rock per certi versi anche cupo (e per certi versi anche heavy), ma questo brano è proprio easy-listening bello. All the other ones were pure prog rock with some dark (and even somewhat heavy) undertones, but this just feels like an easy-listening pretty song. Before the armadillo tanks rolled in, ELP followed its Isle of Wight launch gig with this cohesive LP that showcased all of Emerson’s chops without sacrificing basic rock output. “Knife-Edge,” based on Janacek’s Sinfonietta, is as close to heavy metal fanfare as you need. “The Barbarian” sexes up Bela Bartok. And Greg Lake’s two songs, “Take a Pebble” and “Lucky Man,” are quite lovely.

"From the Beginning" is a song written by Greg Lake and performed by the #progressive #rock trio #EmersonLakeAndPalmer. It was released on their 1972 album "Trilogy". - This is an easy listening one and I really like it for a long time.

Es el cuarto álbum de estudio del supergrupo de rock progresivo formado por Keith Emerson, Greg Lake y Carl Palmer, lanzado en su propio sello discográfico: Manticore Records.
Considerado su mejor trabajo de toda su carrera discográfica, destaca sobre todo por la inquietante portada del famoso artista suizo H. R. Giger.
