The task ahead of us, namely to avert a global climate catastrophe, requires an emissions reduction of 43% by 2030.

EVERYONE is needing to step up to meet this challenge - from governments to businesses to individuals.

One area that needs urgent attention is our individual energy consumption. Research has found the energy sweet spot for a decent living standard — 20-50GJ/person. (https://www.ipcc.ch/report/ar6/wg3/downloads/report/IPCC_AR6_WGIII_Chapter05.pdf)

But take a look at our overshoot! We need to cut back!

@muratk3n @ukuku I don’t agree that #Hydrogen is the silver bullet that’s going to serve all our energy needs. I do believe that #EnergyEffciency will become an important driver. Heat pumps, for instance, are very efficient in heating (and cooling). It’s highly likely that this will become the cheapest and most popular solution for most buildings.
Also, the power distribution system is almost universally available. Building an alternative infrastructure is hard to justify
