You imply #Facebook, #Google, etc are taking entire #articles from news sites and posting them on their own sites. If that were true, I would agree with you, and it would be a violation of copyright law anyway.

They don't do that.

They show a short extract - sometimes just the headline - of the article, with a #link back to the #original site's story.

This drives traffic to the original sites, and buys FB etc a few seconds of "#engagement". They get little from it.

Les #mèmes - lorsqu'ils sont utilisés avec précaution - semblent être un excellent outil pédagogique pour engager les élèves avec le matériel et les aider à élaborer les concepts et les idées.

Am I the only one who remembers that time that #Facebook lied about their video #engagement numbers to convince an entire industry to pivot to video, only to find out it wasn't profitable, and then had to lay off a whole lot of staff?

That makes me a little suspicious of their #threads user count right now.
