I haven't been animating for almost a year, and being me, I completely forgot how to use Enve (I don't retain unused knowledge, that's my 'superpower'. You say nobody does? Yeah, but I'm faster).
Took me a day to remember, including rewatching some tutorials, and make a bunch of animations for the channel and the video. Despite a few quirks, #Enve is wonderfully intuitive, at least for #Inkscape users.
Next is compositing. Before I bite into that pill, is there anything better than #Natron yet?

Have been lost in editing and animation for the last week. More about #videoEditing later but what's up with #LinuxAnimation scene? I've spent long weeks learning #Synfig, which is more like FreeCAD ('do it exactly like that, or else!'), then easily switched to #Enve after a couple of tutorials, only it's abandoned. Then Glaxnimate is horrible (sorry not sorry) but integrated into video editors somehow? There is also Wick but it's aimed at coders more, I already have manim for that ;)

@debacle imho synfig is clunky and has a focus on character animation and cartoon creation - similar to OpenToonz. It is also not similar to #natron which is more about post-processing. #Enve is more like #AfterEffects from adobe - and for its early stage it has TONS OF FEATURES ALREADY 😍

Je découvre l'existence d'enve : petit nouveau parmi les (peu nombreux) logiciel d'animation 2D, libres, sous linux. Son interface est a priori inspirée de blender et inkscape. Il me parait super sympa et prometteur !
