What makes Captain Blood especially hard is the fact that much of the dialogue is based on randomness.

If you watch my longplay, you'll notice that sometimes I repeat the same words until I finally get the answer I'm looking for!

Walkthroughs on websites/old magazines are often incomplete or wrong. I had to take a lot of notes (planet coords, etc.) to progress in the adventure…

And making this video was important for me. It's *my* walkthrough 🥰

Received yesterday!

SVM (Science & Vie Micro), the most read computer magazine in France in the 80s!

It is in this issue that Captain Blood was shown for the first time! And described by the magazine as "The most beautiful game in the world"! 😀

If you look closely at the sketches, you can see that some ideas have not been kept in the game.

As I said in my first message, in this early version, you had to fly very low to avoid being destroyed (if the red arrows touch each other... BOOM!)

In the following versions, the difficulty was lowered (you can fly higher and the arrows move slower)

My father also bought the sequel to Crafton & Xunk: L'Ange de Cristal! 💎

Released in 1988, the game was even more ambitious: bigger, more interactions, etc. Probably the best isometric action-adventure game of the time. 🤩
