You know what’s funny? I was on the Internet for #EternalSeptember, but only about six months before it started. And I was on the #Fediverse (in its current form) for #EternalOctober, but only for about 6 months before.

I’m not drawing any conclusions from that. It’s just a weird thing.

the #mastadon #EternalSeptember #EternalOctober #EternalNovember i guess #HomeInvasion consideration is kind of mainly bs just around the idea that there *are* norms.

this is not a settled place ya'll. we are just starting to explore outwards. what we have been up to since 2017, on-&-off/as-it-goes is just an experiment. just some early takes.

we should be permuting. ideally different communities have different tellers/gatherers of their ways, ideally the different frontiers can find ways to represent what they are and what they are doing. these arent norms of this new network; there are norms of some of it's practitioners/users, often accidentally or not built/shaped by the influence of the developers. but it's coincidence, accident, barely design, just a take, and far more than where we are, can we not all agree to stress, heavily, it's important to site where you want to go, where you think might be interesting or valuable? now that we have freedom to explore?
