The government has issued a press release to announce the launch of EuroVelo 1 in #Ireland:

This route stretches pretty-much the entire length of Ireland's Atlantic coast.

And what does the launch mean?

An allocation of funds totalling €800,000.

Passed through Carran, County Clare at the weekend which is on #EuroVelo1. Not only did it have a maintenance point, but also bike stands and info on the section #Limerick to #Kinvara. 👍

@susan_lanigan I noticed the #EuroVelo1 signs around Bantry, but had forgotten to look them up online. Looks like a brilliant route! I've cycled most of the Irish coastline and had a fantastic time. Look like the roads I cycled are the same or close to the EuroVelo route (which wasn't signposted back then).
