The Biodiversity Knowledge Hub (BKH): a crosspoint and knowledge broker for FAIR and linked biodiversity data
Re 3/3: For π±π°, the GSP+ extension proposal means that, for now, nothing changes β same access to πͺπΊ market and same obligation to comply with the 2β£7β£ international conventions, which are key to ensuring that #economicrecovery is not just fast, but also #fair, #just, and #green.

π¨NEW REPORTπ¨
We release a White Paper, together with the #SmallButPerfect partners.
Presenting the current πͺπΊ debate on the #Textile Industry, we made 19 policy proposals to make a shift towards a more #Sustainable and #Fairπsector.

A 𧡠[1/n]
So, I was thinking about FAIR data. I wanted to start cataloguing our lab's data and make it FAIR, even just locally (with the idea that in the future we can start uploading somewhere). So I wanted to find some software that can bind metadata and data in some way. I found a series of LIMS software that seems to do what I want (e.g. makes protocols, data types, authors, instrument pages and links them all together) [...]

This result which is going around is I think quite important, and shows the importance of reliable and traceable expert curation and annotation of data. It's not because it's well written that it's been expertly verified.

I've taken some time to think over the stuff covered in a recent course I took on #openscience by Elena Giglia (who's not on Mastodon): #FAIR data, open source, citizen science, unshackling from for-profit journals, and more.
As a new, naive and hopeful PhD student find these topics terribly interesting, and since they are essentially unknown in our university, I want to learn and share them with my colleagues.
