Data is snake oil. It has been 5 years since #BBPS mandated all discoms to join it - to centrally collate utility data. Data hasn't done anything and debts remain.

The root of the problem is non classification of #UPI VPA as sensitive personal information. Its also few payment instruments to have such an identifier with no regard to privacy. Hence any mashup like #FASTag on #UPI compounds #privacy problems
