Sure, the resin has sharper details and smoother surfaces. But the FDM copy is excellent for student, classroom, and learning lab use. Plus, the FDM version involved no post-processing with potentially harmful chemicals.
I do a lot of resin printing for model-making, but FDM is just as good for many jobs, and easier for schools, staff and students.
