Yes, there are maths behind and in the slides, but the fundamental concepts can be followed in the explanation without needing to understand the details.

I was once asked in a pub how to run a program on hardware hosted by an untrusted party, such that untrusted party can not know what the program is computing.
My immediate answer was fully homomorphic encryption . The next day I extended the answer to include indistinguishability obfuscation as well.
Initial idea was to develop this on partially reconfigurable s, then I looked at the maths and the then state of the art. No, not doing that.
is this more doable today?
