Like many of us of a certain age, I cut my programming teeth on BASIC. Firstly on a TRS-80 that my dad bought home one day. That micro was pretty quickly replaced with a BBC B. As I got older I dabbled a little with 6502 assembler, but was never very proficient with it. One day in our local computer shop I discovered 'Forth on the BBC Micro' and bought a copy. I still have it, along with a reasonable collection of Forth books!

@don_kosak yeah I've seen that - made me consider writing #LISP instead of #FORTH for my as-yet-incomplete #FPGA hobby CPU... but gotta actually implement enough instructions first.
