"Diese sollen ehemalige Inhaftierte oder aus dem Maßregelvollzug entlassene Menschen in der wiedergewonnenen Freiheit begleiten und auch überwachen. Dabei kommen neben Sozialarbeitendn auch Psycholog*innen zum Einsatz, welche dann therapeutische Gespräche führen. Bis zu fünf Jahren kann der Besuch einer FAB zur Auflage gemacht werden. Ich selbst habe nun einen kleinen Einblick als Betroffener gewinnen können. Die FAB in Karlsruhe hat mich vor wenigen Tagen als Klienten abgelehnt.

Fachlich ist die Entscheidung der Leitung der #FAB mindestens als „eigenwillig“ und „speziell“ zu charakterisieren. Wenn sie ihren eigenen Auftrag, und die Aufgabe für die sie vom Land finanziell unterhalten wird, ernst nehmen sollte, fragt man sich, als Betroffener, aber auch Außenstehende tun dies, worin konkret die Rückfallprohylaxe bestehen mag, einem Menschen der nach rund 27 Jahren von heute auf morgen entlassen wird, die therapeutische Begleitung zu entziehen. Wie es dann mit Menschen weitergehen würde, welche nicht in ein so freundliches, enges, solidarisches Umfeld eingebunden sind wie ich selbst, dies sich vorzustellen überlasse ich jeder/jedem selbst.

Got myself thunderbird 5 for my birthday, mostly because it's one of the more difficult ones to find. I was originally going to leave it at just these, but not having Thunderbird 4 is bugging me, in ways I can't describe, purely because it leaves a gap in the countdown 😅
