So if in Steinbeck’s #1930s we Americans couldn’t absorb tht the #dustbowl signaled a #failedsociety nor 40yrs later recognize we’re still failed w/out legal-regulatory mechanisms to make sure IT along w/ so many other disasters wouldn’t occur (again)…nor 50yrs after tht still we’ve barely diverted doom…ntm #Aussies smarter than us…well thank god for #rachelcarson & Greta.
