It gets updates even though it's not the latest version, I have spare parts (I kept all the intact parts of the first one 😆), there's lots of support from different operating systems (well, right now), and it has a card slot for more memory (in my experience that's crucial to keeping older phones current). I'm trying hard not to drop it anywhere 😁

I'm unhappy with the camera. It's literally the worst phone camera I've ever had. It's a combination of hardware and software aspects, and it's not going to get better. 🤷 All the other features are totally okay for me.

Ich habe gerade an meinem gut 2 Jahre alten Fairphone 3+ das Bottom-Modul, also die Ladebuchse gewechselt, weil es nicht mehr richtig laden konnte.
Es hat mir Hilfe eines YouTube Tutorials einwandfrei funktioniert.
Jetzt lädt es wieder einwandfrei! 🥳🤗

@bradlinder sadly, @postmarketOS doesn't support my #Fairphone3plus and @Fairphone kinda #downgraded the #FP4 with having no real #DualSIM but decided to put a non-replaceable #eSIM into it [why they didn't put that into a #NanoSIM card is beyond me!]...

Starting a new "project", config file for #Fairphone3Plus to permit running the proprietary app com.google.ar.core on my #fairphone .

I'm not very happy to improve proprietary software instead of write an alternative, but this is sadly over my capacity. Hope that #microg will add google ARCore support in the future.

If they had a real #DualSIM [and put the #eSIM on a #NanoSIM card!] as well as included a direct adaptor to do USB-C + Headphone jack in the box I would've likely chosen otherwise:

Also respect trying #Office work on a #Smartphone, but then again I acknowledge that #digitalization of the masses in #India started way later and with another set of #tech available...
Cuz I couldn't write anything meaningful on a touchscreen...

but then again, I'd not be surprised if a lot of people just use a USB-OTG Hub and connect something like a keyboard and mouse to it.

@LunaDragofelis Personally, I would recommend the #Fairphone3Plus or if you need #5G - the #Fairphone4 cuz I'd never spend absurd amounts on a device.

Plus both have toolfree-swappable batteries that can easily get - like everything else...

Seit dem letzten Update für mein #Fairphone3Plus fliegt mir mein Nova Launcher dauernd weg und wenn ich auf den Block unten rechts drücke, dann geht nix mehr. Vorher konnte man darüber die laufenden Apps beenden.

@Som89 I have been using #eOS for a few months on my #Fairphone3Plus, I'm very happy. #CalyxOS seems cool, too. Of course there is also #GrapheneOS, but really for me /e/ OS is flawless.
