feeling stressed and just finished a high-stakes read yesterday, so i would really love some lighthearted book/story/fanfic/reading recommendations!

would especially love recs that are lgbtq, feature neurodivergence, mental or physical disabilities, poc characters, non-american or non-western cultures, etc. doesn't have to have all or any of these, but they are much liked.

i also love fantasy, sci fi, and romance. nonfiction welcome!

Or...

John Mastodon sat at his desk, staring at the screen in front of him. He had just received word that his account on Twitter had been suspended by its new owner, Elon Musk. Mastodon had always been a vocal advocate for open source software and digital privacy, and he knew that his views often clashed with those of Musk.

But Mastodon wasn't one to back down easily. He immediately began working on a plan to create a new social media network, one that was based on open source principles and would give users complete control over their own data. He knew that it wouldn't be easy, but he was determined to make it happen.

As he worked, Mastodon was joined by his friend and colleague, Edward Snowden. Snowden had become well-known for his efforts to expose government surveillance and promote digital privacy, and he was eager to help Mastodon in his new venture.

Together, Mastodon and Snowden spent countless hours designing and building the new social media network, which they called Mastodon. They worked tirelessly to create a platform that was both user-friendly and secure, and they were determined to make it the go-to destination for those who valued their privacy and freedom online.

As the network began to grow and attract more users, Mastodon and Snowden faced numerous challenges. They were constantly fighting off attempts by governments and corporations to censor or control the platform, and they faced fierce competition from other social media networks. But they remained undaunted, and their hard work and determination paid off as Mastodon became the leading open source social media network in the world.

In the end, Mastodon and Snowden's efforts had paid off, and they had created a platform that was truly owned and controlled by its users. And as they looked out at the millions of people using their network, they knew that they had made a real difference in the world of online communication. The end.
