Finished She-Hulk, which was tremendous fun, and then we watched The (2004?) #FantasticFour, which completely passed me by back then. VERY weird seeing Chris Evans as Not Cap. Very weird seeing the James Bond style sexism and rather clunky exposition in hindsight. And blue lightning everywhere for "power". That used to be EVERYWHERE. When did that stop? It was more watchable than expected, but it's not the film to show #Marvel sceptics cos it's lots of the things they say puts them off.

My Byrne #FantasticFour re-read continues with ish 245. This done-in-one picks up on a moment from a previous issue when Ben was babysitting Franklin, and it's the Sue to the rescue as the FF find themselves under attack by a stranger with incredible mental powers. She picks up on the attacker's child-like anger and fear, and it dawns on her just whom Marvel's First Family are facing. Set against an opening sequence of a TV journalist questioning Sue's independence and… 1/2

The Byrne run re-read continues with #FantasticFour 242-244. Terrax the Untamed holds Manhattan hostage to force the FF to destroy Galactus, but ultimately Marvel's First Family finds themselves—along with the Avengers and Dr. Strange—in the position of having to save Galactus life. And we learn the final fate of Frankie Raye. To be honest, this three-parter is one of the best of Byrne's run and perhaps the entire series. It hits all the points of a good story, according to William... 1/2
