One of my #FavoriteThings is using #BulbSetting on my #SlowShutter app. Here's a photo I took outside of #DortmundHauptbahnhof this fall.

Today's final #favoritethings entries will get me in hot water. US power isn't kind to electric teakettles, so I use a Zojirushi hot water pot at home. It holds water at 96C all the time and Just Works.

But I *really* love my Gourmia GDK368 (https://www.gourmia.com/item.asp?item=10290) travel kettle. It collapses down to almost nothing, works on 100-240V, and uses an IEC C13 power cord. I also use it with an inverter when car camping. It's faster than a JetBoil and easier to set up and tear down.

Next, Wego Lever-Nuts (https://www.wago.com/us/installation-221-ad). My father-in-law was an electrician, and he kind of scoffed at these, but I hate traditional US wire nuts and never feel like I'm getting a secure connection whenever I do home electrical work. Lever nuts Just Work, and they make it much easier to swap out a single wire without undoing a giant 5-wire bundle.

#favoritethings

I have a short list of #favoritethings, which are mostly tech or tech-adjacent that give me unreasonable joy to use. It'd be interesting to see other peoples' lists.

I'll start with possibly the least exciting thing imaginable: Monoprice SlimRun Ethernet cables (https://www.monoprice.com/product?p_id=15162). They're about half the thickness of a normal patch cable, which means they take up 1/4 of the space, which makes *everything* easier. I hate cable management, yet somehow these bring joy.

My favorite #rock. It's so round and pleasing, cool in my always scalding hands, the perfect weight. How many centuries did it tumble in the ocean before it landed in the sand, waiting for me to find it there like so much treasure?
