I think that #fedirelay should be out versiocof web rings. Admins can collaborate and curate associations with others, share moderation notes or support. And easily joining multiple relays that have largely shared values as a whole. This would be especially helpful for #singleuser servers and small servers for just a few people. It would certainly remove some of the barriers for further decentralization away from the mega servers 👍 :boosting_ok:

Ok, so, what of fediverse #relays could aggregate a member recommended block list? When someone or a server is reported, the mods or admin have the option(a checkbox) to share the block and some context with the #relay, which then can notify other server admin and mods using that relay about a potential new block.

Not a coder, how hard would it be to add a few UI elements and pass a specially formated toot to a private relay list? 🤔 Is this something that could be implemented just in the relay side via API instead of trying to get a mastodon change made? :blobcoffeegrump:

What if as part of a #fediverseRelay, there's a simple link for folks new to the fediverse to click that will take them to one of the servers on the #relay that has open sign ups at the time. Maybe build in a lightweight info page like some of the fedi statistics sites, but only with local relay data. 📊
