So for #CampNaNoWriMo I ended up with just over 15k words, which was only half of my goal. BUT! I came out with a clear direction for my story, much deeper worldbuilding, and a sense that I can, in fact, finish this dang thing.

Well the end of April gardening needs have left me too sore and tired to think about writing this past week. I'm going to try for a hail Mary and get 5k words out before May, but regardless, I'm happy with my progress on my WIP.

Between 2 writing sessions, I got 1577 words written today. After a very long weekend and a full writer's block on Monday, I'm back and feeling the groove again. Starting to accept that this first draft will not be done by the end of April, so open to ideas on how to keep momentum once the challenge ends.

Meredith doesn't see herself as having time for love. She's far too driven by her need to prove herself. Maybe she'll get swept up in love unintentionally, but she tries not to think about things like that.

Had a busy couple of days, so I forgot to update. But between yesterday and today, I got 1769 words written. I'm over the 5k mark for my progress this month.

Plus, I spent a lot of time this morning lining out the worldbuilding for one of the fictional societies that are prominent in the story.

#FediWriters and #WritingCommunity, my WIP involves critiquing and flipping the #WhiteSavior trope. I've written a fictional world and want to have a prominent culture which can parallel #native or #indigenous cultures that have been overrun by colonialism and imperialism. But I definitely don't want to misappropriate real cultures.

Any #WritingAdvice? Or is this an ill-advised idea?
