I've now partially migrated to Firefox. I still use some PWAs through Chromium (Youtube, Mastodon, some others), but general browsing I'll do via Firefox. There has been an obnoxious bug in #Fedora for seemingly 3 years that causes a password prompt to appear anytime I open Firefox with a Yubikey attached to my system. The workaround is to remove the package causing (?) the popup, which is not particularly elegant, but is better than continuing to use Google Chrome.

If you add cloud-init to a cloud image in Fedora 39, it should automatically start at boot time in the cloud. It's a little fix in the grand scheme of things, but it's a big time/frustration saver. 😜

Alright, I think I was wrong. It appears that it is not possible to have #fedora #kinoite and Windows 11 available on the same system. Installing one will break the other, even when installed on separate drives, on a UEFI system. Anaconda also appears to be unable to add Windows to GRUB. I rarely use Windows now. Maybe once every three months. Yet still, I occasionally use it. This makes Kinoite a non-starter, as much as I like it. Maybe some day I'll be able to join the immutable wave. #Linux

Brutal change on communication method to have deep focus on 'what needs to be done' made me a better person.

1. At work: I removed corporate mail and chat client on mobile phone 1 year ago. I get more done and keep things on schedule. I know what to drop and prioritize. I use more voice communication.

2. #Fedora With much regret, I deactivated matrix account and discourse today. Just like my corporate mail client and messenger, matrix and discourse are huge drain on time and my inner peace.

It's been a bit over a week since downloading #Fedora #Kinoite with #KDE #Plasma. This is now my fourth (?) time trying to switch to Plasma, and I think this time it will stick. I enjoyed using #gnome and have a lot of respect for the project, but I'm finding that my goals are being much better accomplished in Plasma. I think the key that made this attempt successful was a commitment to being humble and being open to growth.

About a year ago I ended the hell called distro-hopping. I couldn't resist the urge to try new different #Linux distributions. Ubuntu, Fedora, Regolith, Archlinux with many different WM, and so on... I just needed time to learn #python, and not procrastinate by installing a new distros.

Later on I bought a macbook, which is great and impeccable to work on.

But I still miss Linux a lot, probably #Fedora the most.

Just changed my default language in #Fedora #Gnome to #Esperanto to be more regularly exposed to it. Now, the date and time are still in English, so I'm gonna have to look into that and figure out if I need to contribute to that 🤔
