After some anti-LGBTQ+ hate-mongering, the town of Ferndale, CA, couldn't bring itself to adopt an Anti-hate & Inclusion resolution,or a watered down Kindness Resolution. It did, however, allow bigots to go off unhindered at its council meeting.
So I wrote this piece about zoo animals trying to pass an anti-shit-throwing resolution.

My place is about 50 miles SW from the #Ferndale quake. My house sitter says nothing even fell off the shelves, but my kitty is scared of the aftershocks.
There's a small, inactive fault a few tenths of a mile east. It's on the USGS fault map. Some day I'm going to go GPS it and paint a line on the road where it crosses.

The MyShake app I installed a couple weeks ago got a test run last night. I got a clear audible warning of the #ferndale earthquake that jolted me out of a deep sleep. Fortunately I did not feel any jolts IRL here in #SanFrancisco.
