Iโm trying to watch more movies again, general fun and/or good, bonus points if theyโre inspiring to a GM looking for ideas!

What would you suggest?

One of my little pleasures with #FilmStudies is to play with movie posters to create visuals like this.
I found out a weird thing about the poster for The #terminator.
IMO, the title font/color is quite crap. I didn't change anything and it's very difficult to read. ๐คท
But then, that photo of Arnold Schwarzenegger absolutely does the trick. You immediately recognise the movie.
There's no need for a title actually.
I can't resist sharing a tester for the episode of @TheRpgAcademy #FilmStudies that we recorded today with Mark Rapsol from Nightfall Games and @epidiah. ๐
What about you?
Did The Terminator inspired you TTRPG characters or adventures?
It's time for another @TheRpgAcademy #FilmStudies!

I'm joined by Meguey & Vincent Baker @lumpleygames, and @Nellachronism from #ApocalistBookClub to discuss what #TTRPG lessons to take from Andrei Tarkovsky's #Stalker (1979).
What about you? Would you recommend this movie to TTRPG enthusiasts? Have you played adventures or characters inspired by the it? What system would you use to replicate the film's premise?

I'm applying the final editing to our next episode of @TheRpgAcademy #FilmStudies.
It was great to chat with @Nellachronism (Apocalist Book Club Podcast), @megueyb, and @lumpleygames (Apocalypse World) about "Stalker" from 1979.

Also, for the little story, I started developing it after recording this episode of @TheRpgAcademy #FilmStudies

I assume you've already seen #Delicatessen?
My favourite episode of @TheRpgAcademy #FilmStudies that I recorded is dedicated to this Parisian Hausmann building post-apocalyptic movie. ๐

@Celticknots @gulix I actually started working on the #RosewoodAbbey following the recording of an episode of @TheRpgAcademy #FilmStudies dedicated to The Name of the Rose. ๐

Finally, here's
_The RPG Academy Film Studies_
This #podcast is a coproduction with @TheRpgAcademy. Each episode has new #TTRPG guests (James D'Amato, Alex Roberts, Grant Howitt...) invited because of their relevance and/or interest in one movie.
We review the movie and answer the questions:
Would you recommend it to TTRPG fans?
What TTRPG system would you use to re-enact it?
What themes and ideas would borrow from it?

I wasn't part of the recording of The RPG Academy #FilmStudies Episode 3 dedicated to "Clue" (we pass the torch between a few hosts).
The episode description's doesn't list the TTRPGs mentioned and I don't remember it well enough.
Michael will have to comment on that. ๐

Our second episode of The RPG Academy #FilmStudies was dedicated to "Armour of God 2".
Feng Shui would still be fitting, but instead we leaned towards Flat Land Games' Action Movie World: First Blood for Jackie Chan's Indiana Jones meets James Bond antics.
