I just went over to do my #finaltweet thread on the bird site before it collapses, and typing it out made me realize what I got most out of that site:

It kept people in front of me. It kept me engaged by the dopamine hits from its app, and that played on standard #ADHD #objectpermanence issues. Its insistence kept people in my life, and I'm more worried about losing that than any particular app or friends list.
