This morning macOS Catastrophe's Finder has decided it won't let me access already mounted servers, or disconnect them. Relaunching the Finder shows the volumes still mounted in the left pane of a Finder window, but clicking on a volume the window says it's not connected. Lately I've noticed the Finder to be very sluggish in general. I know Catastrophe is an old OS so I guess it forgot to take its arthritis meds.

@timbray I stumbled across Cmd-1,2,3 in Finder just yesterday when in QuickView I was looking at an image and Cmd-0 takes me to “actual size” (i.e. zoomed it in since it was a high-res image, which is what I wanted). I wanted to zoom out again without pressing a bunch of Cmd-minus and just started beating on Cmd-1,2,3 …. funny enough I watched the Finder window I was QuickView-ing freak out. 😀 #macOS #finder #shortcuts

So wish that #Obsidian "move note to" UX existed in macOS #Finder. Had something similar with Alfred a while back but keep waiting for #Raycast to introduce it.

Absolutely bonkers #macos behavior i've learned about today, check this out:

# Behavior
Use ⌘ + TAB to switch to Finder with no open finder windows

# Expectation
Opens a new window

# Reality
Need to press ⌘ + N to open a new window

But if instead you do this:
1) ⌘ + TAB to Finder (from something else) and hold down ⌘
2) Press and hold OPTION
3) While holding down OPTION, release ⌘
4) Release OPTION

A new finder window opens.

HOW?

WHY?

Does anyone know?
