(1/x) I'm thinking about links between #uralic or #FinnoUgric minority languages and cartography.
If mainstream maps (like Google/Apple maps) doesn't offer the possibility to display local names, this is possible with #OpenStreetMap (=a big cartography database). One can create custom renderings using the data of OSM and choose which names should be rendered.
Ex : We could think about creating a map of South Estonia displaying only Võro names. Or even a map for each Uralic minority language !

Very interesting: machine translation among 14 Finno-Ugric languages, including several endangered #Indigenous languages alongside the ones with more speakers like Hungarian or Finnish. Developed in Estonia!
