Only takes a single #firework in a one-mile radius of here (Isle of Dogs - so Greenwich, Deptford, Canary Wharf etc) at 1am and they are up and barking through the house (and presumably heard by neighbours in only a slightly smaller than 1 mile radius…).
This and the whizz-bang detritus in the local park every morning and pressure on stretched A&Es at this time of year make me feel very illiberal about gunpowder…
