I am a #linuxgamer and play League of Legends, SL, and WoW with friends. I play other games, but I tend to orient myself around my small circle of friends. #debian runs all my games with a bit of tweaking. #Lutris has done good work to get League running, I just think their discord is rude, or was for me. I use the Steam wrapper for WoW, and SecondLife runs in #linux on #firestorm. If anyone needs help with those three on debian let me know, and I can share what worked for me.

We need a very powerfull pc for #secondlife

I found a firestorm. file without extension (script shell)

When I click on it I t works but it ask me to open a terminal.

How to run #firestorm without having 2 windows one for firestorm and one with terminal ?

This morning I decided to update #firestorm but ...

I don't know how to do it

I download the source but now how to continue. I have a long text to read in english but I don't understand !!

I try to click on install.sh but all is in english and I am really lost.

I did it in the past but I don't remember

Why is life so complicated ?

Update: was just able to log into @secondlife using #Firestorm. Saw notices from an SLMP vendor notifying of issues with her store, so problem may be with SL rather than viewers.

Heads up @secondlife residents: #Firestorm viewer appears to be down this morning. I was able to log in as usual with the Kokua viewer.

I've never successfully compiled #firestorm, but maybe it's time to try again and get hacking

I sure would love it if the #SecondLife world map would show black squares (and no green dots) for any parcel I'm not allowed in. Would be much better for discovery / exploration. Is this something #Firestorm could implement?

#Metaverse Just logged in #thirdroom with Safari browser. Seems to work better than with Firefox, although with Firefox it is great too. But Safari seems to have higher resolution in graphics. So we could use Browser for #virtualworlds in a #metaverse with newest #videogames technology and don't need a viewer like #firestorm for #secondlife or #opensim
When #Firefox is working well, I try out now #Tor too. Perhaps there is not framerate of 60 fps like in other browsers. Will see and tell

I wish #firestorm viewer could check wether the land parcel I moved into is using the same media stream as the one I just left so it could decide not to interrupt the stream. #Secondlife
