Snap. I have had that for three or four weeks. Seems viral. Moves around. Head, nose, cough, throat, chest, and back again. Feel better for half a day, then the damn thing returns with a vengeance. Testing negative for covid. "Just a cold"? #Flu And I am vaxxed to the max

Question: how does viral immunity work? My kid and I have been vaccinated for the flu and Covid. We’ve been sick almost every 2 weeks with a different bug.

There is this idea that we’re getting sick because we’ve been indoors and not getting “exposed to viruses” and that’s weakening our systems.

But I’ve caught every virus my kid has brought home from school - that’s not making our immune systems any stronger… is it??? Feels like death every time 😩

Waiting for a prescription at CVS yesterday I heard a man holding a toddler wondering aloud where the children’s pain reliever was. Someone nearby said every drug store and pharmacy on the island is sold out because so many kids have #rsv and #flu. First I’m hearing of this shortage! My heart broke as he told the little one “I guess you’re just gonna have to get better quick!” I can’t imagine being in that position. 😢

@liverpoolrichard I started getting #flu #vaccination a few years ago; as an aging teacher who rode crowded public transport, I decided I ought to be getting vaxxed instead of catching the flu almost every year. Now I walk an hour to work to avoid public transport, get all my vaccinations, and #mask with an #n95 while teaching or otherwise indoors in public.

Y'all I just realized that menthol cough drops are like Icy Hot for your throat 🤯
