With #Flux I can easily create an ImageUpdateAutomation that pushes updated chart versions to a specific branch and have a leightweight GitHub Actions workflow that creates a PR from that. It's such a breeze but requires charts to be available at an OCI registry.

I've observed the community wait for the year of Linux on the Desktop for the last 20 or so years. It never happened. If 2022 was the year of anything in the cloud-native space it was #GitOps, to a large extent thanks to #Argo and #Flux. 2023 will see GitOps taken to the next level with OCI, improvements in supply chain security and a certain standardization of GitOps models & approaches.
