made a combo reservation with #priceline for a #flight and #car #rental.

realized they have me #flying into one #airport and picking up the car in another (and not across the street from each other!).

called priceline and they offered to refund the cost of the car rental - b/c they can't make changes to the reservation (ummm...).

well, I kind of bought the combo for a reason...and the amount they want to refund for car leaves me holding bag on flight price. 😖 😡

Day 3 of what I hope will be the last travel day.

I just want to see my mom, hold her hands, and help her feel atleast a little better. She has been strung along enough about my "imminent arrival".

Retrying yesterday's canceled flight. This time I've my laptop charger with me. So, hopefully it will all go well.

FWIW they just announced that the departure is delayed by 50 minutes. I hope that's the extent of the issues and nothing like yesterday recurs.

Airline app, web site says to call for fast service. Phone service says use web site for fast service. Bazinga.

Anyway, finally talked to a human being who says the one-a-day connecting flight is full for the following day and nothing they can do. 🤷

And here I am, with my wife, just trying to get to the destination quickly to see my seriously-ill mom. But we're prisoners on an aircraft that will leave whenever. 🤞

But at least we have phone and Internet. For the moment.

After leaving the gate about 20 minutes late, the aircraft taxied for a bit and then just sat for an hour, only for us to be told there's a problem with some computer.

A full two hours after the original departure time, we're now at an aircraft infirmary. Apparently it might take an hour to fix the issue.

No doubt I'll miss my connection but really worried about how much more I'll need to wait there. Anyway, will get to that after we really leave the origin airport. 🤞

The entire passenger airline industry is now one big con.

The fare is ~$1800 throughout the multi-step booking process and bam, at the end it is ~$5900. More than 3x the price quoted as we are strung along. 🤬

And, absolutely every travel site is like this.

The cloak slowed his fall, creating what is thought to be the 1st parachute, and leaving him with only minor injuries

It’s fascinating that Southwest Airlines will hold up the whole plane for six bags to get on board (we were supposed to leave ten minutes ago), but won’t hold a plane for people.
