I have made some good progress with initial experiments in colour fonts this week (including writing tools create COLR v0 fonts).

A more organised write-up may appear next week, but i can't resist dropping this sneak peak.

Palette is a (7 entry version of) @kate's 12-bit palette: iamkate.com/data/12-bit-rainbo (the palette is still an area of experimentation)

Very pleased to have come across the word «dziggetai».

Along with quagga and onager it is another equine (horse) that has both an «a» and a «g» in its name (and, i suppose, nag).

Which, if you've made a font inspired by horse hooves that has a variable axis for variant forms of «a» and «g», is a pretty fun fact.
