🇧🇪 consumer group @Test_Achats@twitter.com found supermarket prices have risen by 18% compared to 2021. Frozen food (esp. French fries), pasta, dairy, poultry and some vegetables are among biggest price increases. Fruit less impacted so far.

Addressing @EP_Agriculture this afternoon, @EUAgri’s M. Scannel gave MEPs an overview of stakeholders’ extensive (and at times conflicting) views on drivers of #FoodSecurity. Quite a number of stakeholders have raised the issue of #diets and nutrition - and the overconsumption of meat. #FoodAffordability also a key concern, especially for lower-income households hardly hit by the #FoodInflation.
