With the @dino 0.4.0 release I am dropping net-im/dino-llibhandy and updated net-im/dino to 0.4.0 so if your using my overlay emerge -C --ask net-im/dino-libhandy and emerge --ask net-im/dino. #foss #gentoo #pinephonepro #pinephone

With Dino using libadwaita now I've updated the dino-libhandy package to 0.3.1 with the latest commit in the main branch of dino (https://git.gjdwebserver.nl/gjdwebserver/gjdwebserver-overlay/src/branch/master/net-im/dino-libhandy/dino-libhandy-0.3.1.ebuild) this will prob be the latest dino-libhandy update and will move to the up streamed dino package when a new release will come out. Well the @PINE64 PinePhone story for @gentoo keeps getting better. I got MegaPixels working (https://git.gjdwebserver.nl/gjdwebserver/gjdwebserver-overlay/src/branch/master/media-video/megapixels/megapixels-1.6.0-r1.ebuild) is the one with the patches and correct naming for the camera's. You will need kernel 6.1 (https://git.gjdwebserver.nl/gjdwebserver/gjdwebserver-overlay/src/branch/master/sys-kernel/pinephone-sources/pinephone-sources-6.1.4.ebuild) for it to work Manjaro had some fixed I applied. Libcamera is now also in the overlay but it still has some issues for the PPP. The downsides of #Fedora are that it is a near rolling release—about twice a year—and each release has support for only a year and sometimes little things break with the new release which might not get fixed until the next one. These are negligible for me since I enjoy figuring things out and most software work well with it. The #FOSS alternatives of mainstream brands are also quite reliable.

So the @PINE64 #pinephone pro journey continues. I've got feedbackd to work agian the @gentoo Guru version was missing the gmobile module wich I re-added in my own overlay. The Vibrator and Led work now. I found out the problem with the camera rkisp1 seems not to load altough its build in the kernel. Still looking into that, but I've updated the kernel config file (https://git.gjdwebserver.nl/gjdwebserver/gjdwebserver-overlay/src/branch/master/sys-kernel/pinephone-sources/files/config-ppp). From this weekend on i'm ditching my android phone as daily driver and switching to the @PINE64 PinePhone Pro #pinephonepro running @gentoo. So expect alot of updates to my overlay and toots about it. As we speak I'm updating the kernel config since the 3 axis accelerator driver was not build and found out I forgot to add totem to the phosh-meta package. Its looking good the phone works fine and google cant track me anymore. #linux #foss #gentoo

I've found out that I made an "huge" error in my PinePhone Pro Documentation. After wondering for a year why it was defaulting to software rendering I found out I missed that the @PINE64 #pinephonepro does not have a Mali 400 series but an Mali 800 series GPU wich means you need to use:
