just finished testing #framebufferphone on #danctnix after applying all patches currently awaiting upstreaming. everything now works as expected to my knowledge. hooray!

@linmob git send-email for the win! i started using it to contribute to the #framebufferphone project (which i hope will pick up steam now that mepo 1.0 has been released) and im never going back!

@linmob also, as i'm on #sxmo i try to stick to text-based applications and scripts as much as i reasonably can. that's why i'm so excited about #framebufferphone. one of the best things about linux, to each their own!

@linmob another great weekly roundup, even though this week was a bit slow. thanks for featuring my article even though it's not strictly linux-only! i'm currently in the process of porting the #framebufferphone UI to arch linux, and i'll be writing an article about that when it's fully ported and ready to merge. netsurf-framebuffer has proven tough to handle since it's "maintainer" hasn't touched it since 2015 lol. i have the core UI done, and most of the accompanying f_scripts.

i'll be focusing my efforts on porting #framebufferphone to #archlinuxarm in the near future. schoolwork got pretty crazy recently with important tests coming up, but i should have more time to work on porting this coming week. fbp is definitely my ideal UI for the #pinephone, with minimalism and extensibility at it's core. im excited to get all of the f_scripts running properly on alarm.

sorry for my brief leave of absence from the #fediverse and my blog. been hard at work before the end of my school's grading period. i'm also the website guy for the school's digital magazine, which is launching our first issue on monday. i'll be back next week with more work on porting #framebufferphone to #danctnix archlinuxarm.

@linmob i can't wait to install #towboot on my #pinephone. my only sd card is currently in use by my #framebufferphone/#archlinuxarm development image, but honestly i'll probably just upload any changes i have made to git and reflash it after installing tow-boot.

any clues getting miles' project #framebufferphone to run on top of #danctnix arch on the #pinephone? i know its in super-duper early beta but I'd love to contribute to development in any way i can. (i'll switch to #pmos when it has the power of the AUR... so never! lol)
